How the life is paid for, each year
What they own along the way, and what's left for the children
Each band is what the household owns at each age, after debt. The bottom three bands are liquid: money that can be spent without selling a property.
What is owned, and who owns it
Click any underlined figure to change it. Open a row's details for its costs, profit and loss, and sale settings. Everything else in WealthView is worked out from this list.
What the life costs
Enter yearly amounts in today's dollars. The second column is what each item will cost once work stops: school fees end, travel often rises. The plan uses these totals and grows them with inflation. Home loan repayments come from the Assets tab and stop when the loan is paid off.
Money map: this year
Where the household's income goes before anything is invested. Property shortfalls sit on their own line: they are a cost of holding capital, not a cost of living.
Investment property cash flow
Cash flow is before tax. Principal repayments are cash going out even though they build equity. Losses in the family trust stay in the trust and can't reduce personal tax.
Mini balance sheets by entity
The same assets, grouped by who legally owns them. Each entity is taxed differently and some money can't be reached until later.
Assumptions
The settings behind the projection. Change them here; the plan updates straight away. Ages are worked out from birth years, so they move on by themselves each year.
Illustrative case study for education only. General information, not personal financial or tax advice. Tax is a simplified estimate using 2026–27 Australian resident rates plus the 2% Medicare levy, before offsets, with brackets held flat over time. Capital gains follow the rules legislated in June 2026: the 50% discount applies to growth up to 1 July 2027, and growth after that is indexed to inflation with a 30% minimum tax for individuals and trusts. Small business concessions, super and company rules are unchanged. The trust minimum tax switch models the 30% minimum tax on discretionary trust income announced to start 1 July 2028; confirm its status before relying on it. Super is treated as reachable once the owner has stopped work and reached preservation age. Values are in future dollars; lifestyle spending is entered in today's dollars and grows with inflation.
